John Mayer isn't the first artist that comes to mind when it comes to Tumblr, but he's used the service for four years and has publicly scorned Twitter. It makes sense for Tumblr to choose an artist of his size to start their series.
The 'ask' feature on his Tumblr page will be turned on so fans can ask him questions. Tumblr's music page will reblog every question he answers. Mayer is using this to promote his current tour.
