About one hour after news broke that Sherri Shepherd was leaving 'The View', Jenny took to Twitter to confirm that she, too, will be exiting the ABC ensemble talk show. But the firings are far from over - Jenny also hinted that many other 'hard working folks,' including executive producer Bill Geddie, were also on their way out.

is standing by her 'avenger' Sherri Shepherd. The former Playboy Playmate turned TV personality took to Twitter on June 26 and seemed to confirm that she was leaving The View, tweeting, 'If Sherri goes... I go too.'

Jenny is not taking her sudden departure from The View lying down! The outspoken star, who has been a co-host on the show for nearly two years, opened up about both her and Sherri's exits in a series of bold tweets on June 26. Here's what she had to say:

It still hasn't been confirmed that Sherri and Jenny were fired from the show, but based on Jenny's tweets, that certainly seems to be the case. We will definitely miss seeing these ladies every morning and we hope that they will return, as Jenny promises!

TMZ is reporting that Sherri - and most likely Jenny - have been fired from The View.

'There was a meeting at ABC late Thursday [June 26] afternoon and they announced Sherri Shepherd was out,' sources tell TMZ. 'We've also heard but have not confirmed Jenny McCarthy and executive producer Bill Geddie may be gone too,' the site reports.

The show hasn't picked replacements for Sherri and Jenny but Ross Mathews and Jesse Palmer are being considered, according to TMZ.

A rep for Sherri said in a statement to our sister site Deadline:

It's been seven wonderful years on The View and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and Bill Gedde for giving me the opportunity. I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to my View family and my fans for supporting me on this journey.

And ABC said in a separate statement: 'The View will be moving in an exciting new direction next season and ABC has made decisions to evolve the show creatively.'
