James Franco: It Was A Dumb Move To Flirt On Instagram

What were you thinking, James Franco? If you did in fact try to hook up with your 17-year-old fan Lucy Clode, you crossed a major line. And even if that wasn't your objective, it was a pretty dumb move to flirt like that on Instagram.

James Franco, you are playing with fire! After you met a fan, Lucy Clode, who waited outside of your Broadway show Of Mice & Men to meet you on April 1, you allegedly reached out to her on Instagam and asked her if she wanted to meet up - even though she's half your age. We can't be sure that the photos and texts Lucy posted from you are real, but either way, we hope this has taught you a very valuable lesson about social media.

James Franco's Instagram Flirting With 17-Year-Old - It Was A Dumb Move

James, don't you know that once you post something to social media, you can never take it back? Apparently not!

After Lucy, a teen from Scotland visiting NYC with her mother, took pics and videos of you leaving Of Mice & Men, you asked her to post them to Instagram and tag you in them. That seemed innocent enough, but then you allegedly sent Lucy a series of inappropriate private messages that even she referred to as 'dodgy.' [In America we call that 'creepy,' James.]

Take Our Poll

On April 2, screengrabs leaked of an apparent exchange between you and Lucy in which you allegedly asked her if she was 18, which hotel she was staying at, if you should rent a room there, and what her phone number was. She apparently gave it to you, and then leaked pictures you texted her of yourself to prove that it was really you.

The pics were the final nail in the coffin, James. Since you were fully clothed in the photos (at least as far as we can tell), you've learned the easy way that you should never, ever send someone photos of yourself that you wouldn't want splashed all over the Internet. Especially if you are a celebrity. These things always come out, James. ALWAYS!

James Franco - Your Response To The Leaked Photos Didn't Help

Now James, we know that the age of consent in NYC is 17 so it would not have been against the law for you to hook up with Lucy. But that doesn't mean you have free reign to be so creepy about it!

After a major backlash, you posted an Instagram photo in response to the leaked pics on April 2. You later deleted the pic, but not before some quick-thinking fans took a screengrab of it. Once again, James - these things ALWAYS come out.

The photo included an image of you with text over it that read, 'Why are you thirsty for underage ones?' Even though the photo was deleted, you shared it on Twitter and didn't delete the tweet, which read, 'I'M NOT! I HOPE PARENTS KEEP THEIR TEENS AWAY FROM ME! Thank you.'

Honestly, James, what kind of response is that? It seems to imply that you are not to be trusted with underage girls and that you need responsible adults around to prevent you from going after their children. And what's more, tweeting and deleting that message made you look extra shady.

Don't you agree, HollywoodLifers? Let me know!
