Google today added a new feature to Google+: pinned posts. You can now choose to pin one of your posts to the top of your profile or page.
As you'd expect, a pinned post is visible above all your other posts when someone visits your profile or page. You can only pin one post, and it will be marked with a green pin in the top-right corner:
The only requirement for pinning a post is that it has to be set to public (private posts unsurprisingly can't be pinned). To use the feature, click on the downward-facing arrow in the top-right corner of the post you want to highlight, and choose 'Pin post':
Google says the feature is visible to other users in desktop browsers and in the Google+ app for Android. iOS users will be see pinned posts 'soon.' The company didn't specify when the option to pin posts, not just see pinned posts, would be coming to mobile.
