CBS Harnesses Star Power for Instagram 'Takeover'

CBS has enlisted some major star power for a week of special Instagram content.

Actors from all 21 of the network's primetime series are set to participate in a week-long CBS Instagram takeover, which will begin Oct. 27 and run until Nov. 2.

'One of the best ways for the audience to experience a show is through the eyes of its stars,' said Chris Ender, CBS's executive vice-president of communications. 'This Instagram campaign captures a week of CBS primetime, as artists release photos and videos from the sets, just for the fans.'

Cast members and producers will be posting photos and videos from set on the day their shows air. So Monday, for example, will see actors from 2 Broke Girls, Scorpion, NCIS: LA and The Millers participating. Each morning, the shows' official Instagram accounts will announce which cast member will be in charge of representing the series for that day.

The event marks the first time a broadcast network has launched a week-long Instagram takeover, according to CBS. Fans can follow the action directly using the hashtag #CBSInstagramTakeover.
