PENDLETON, Ind. (WISH) - A threat on Instagram may have been aimed at Pendleton Heights Middle School or any other school in the country with the same initials. But, local school administrators are taking it seriously.
An increased police presence was at Pendleton Heights Middle School on Wednesday after the threat Tuesday night on the social media site. Superintendent Joe Buck said the Instagram post made a threat toward 'PHMS,' pointing out that those initials could mean a number of places in the country.
The school district notified parents Wednesday morning and is working with local law enforcement to try to track down the person responsible for the threat.
Buck said the school day has gone smoothly.
