Union Metrics, the social analytics platform whose most recent claim to fame was being the first to receive Tumblr's blessing, is today rolling out a similar service for Instagram, as well as introducing a new suite which will pull Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram into one platform. The company had previously been testing the Instagram analytics service in a private beta with around 15 customers, including DigitasLBi, Funny Or Die, McBeard and AKQA to name a few.
The product will allow customers, who tend to be in-house brand marketers and social media teams, PR and digital agencies, to discover their brand's most popular media and hashtags on the image-sharing service, as well as identify the brand's biggest fans, monitor hashtag reach and exposure over time, track competitor performance, and even learn when to post to maximize exposure, by tracking when fans are most actively posting likes and comments.
Pricing starts at $199 per month, which will include five 'trackers.'
Each tracker can be used to monitor one account or hashtag. There are three Instagram plans available at $199, $499, $999 per month, where the top-level plan includes 20 trackers and high volume allotments, designed for larger brands and agencies with significant investment in Instagram marketing programs and campaigns.
Combined with the other Twitter and Tumblr-focused products, the company tells us it's now reaching over 950 subscribers from 40+ countries worldwide. This customer base includes 25% of the Fortune 500 and more than half of the top 25 PR agencies, it also notes.
While Union Metrics declined to provide specifics in terms of annual revenue, they would ballpark that figure as being 'in the millions.'
'We continue to see record-breaking growth, fueled by a rapidly growing customer base for our existing products,' says Hayes Davis, Union Metrics co-founder and CEO. 'For example, revenue for our most recently launched product - Union Metrics for Tumblr - has tripled over the last quarter alone, and we expect to see similar growth for our new Union Metrics for Instagram.'
The other new product, Union Metrics Social Suite, starts at $6,000 per year and lets brands and agencies monitor their social media presence across multiple channels, including Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram, with plans to add more networks in a future release. The suite will also include access to the same sort of 'deep dive' analytics as found in the other standalone products as well as dedicated account management and support, the company says.
Union Metrics competes with a number of other social media analytics providers, including also Piqora, Curalate, Nitrogram, PopTip, Simply Measured, and more.
Incidentally, today's news comes only a day after Curalate moved in the other direction: it launched support for Tumblr, which joined Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram and Facebook, already supported.
