For her new color, Katy turned to stylist, Brant Mayfield and colorist, Nina Kairouz. The stunning singer captioned her Instagram picture, 'SLIME GREEN FOR SPRING.'

Katy's color transformation does not come as a complete surprise. On March 30, she told E! that she has been thinking of going green for a long time. 'I've wanted to go slime green for a long time. It's spring time and I think it's time to freshen up my look,' she said. 'I'm really excited about slime green, but I hope my hair doesn't fall out.'

Thankfully Katy's hair survived - and she successfully achieved the slime green color that she has been going after! Katy's roots and bangs remain her signature black color, but the rest of her hair is slime green.

Just in time for spring, Katy has lightened up her signature dark locks. This is definitely a tough color to pull off, but if anyone can do it, it's Katy!

We are all for experimenting and switching up your hair color length and color, and Katy really does it with confidence - she can pull off the toughest of colors. We like that Katy did not dye her whole head green, and that within the green we can see hints of blues and other lighter hues of green.
