Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly reached out to fans and well-wishers over the weekend by posting a video on Instagram promising he 'will be back' from his fight against cancer.
Kelly, who has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation in New York City, returned to Buffalo to continue treatment for a recurrence of sinus cancer. The Hall-of-Famer thanked supporters with a message of hope and faith.
'Hey, everybody, I'm glad to be home back in Buffalo,' Kelly said, surrounded by his kids, in the video posted on his wife's Instagram page.
'Thank you, God bless you and I will be back.'
Kelly flew back to Buffalo after spending almost a month in New York City due to his latest cancer diagnosis. The five-time Pro Bowler underwent surgery in June after doctors discovered cancerous cells in his jaw.
After being declared cancer-free, Kelly announced the return of the disease late last month.
'He's had a rough few days, but he decided to come home anyway because this is an emotional battle, too,' Kelly's brother, Dan, told the Buffalo News.
Despite the health setback, Kelly is still keeping active, taking in a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden on April 4 and even preparing a bid to purchase the Bills.
