Facebook received 28147 government requests for data impacting 38256 ...


If you envisaged flicking through Instagram this weekend then it might be worth taking an extra coffee and coming back a bit later as the Facebook-owned photo app is down right now due to a 'feed delivery issue'.


TNW staff first noticed the outage around 50 minutes ago, at approximately 9:00 EDT. The Instagram team is on the case now, however, so the app should be back working soon for Instaaddicts out there.


We recommend keeping an eye on the company's Twitter account for the latest.

Facebook bought Instagram for $1 billion back in 2012. The price was questioned by many at the time, but the company has gone from strength-to-strength under Facebook's ownership: it now has over 200 million monthly active users and more than 20 billion photos have been shared on the service to date.
