There wasn't a lot to see on YouTube Monday afternoon.
The popular video website appears to have crashed, with a '500 Internal Server Error' greeting users attempting to access the homepage, but the outage didn't last long as the site was back up shortly after 5:53p.m.

'Sorry, something went wrong,' text on the homepage now reads. 'A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.'
The error notice is followed by a jumble of letter, numbers and other characters.

'Some people are encountering errors, or a slower than normal experience on YouTube today,' a YouTube spokesperson told the Daily News. 'We're working to fix the problem as soon as possible.'
