YouTube, the world's most popular video site, was experiencing technical difficulties on Monday.
The website experienced sporadic outages earlier Monday morning but as of 2:40 p.m. PT, the site was inaccessible for hundreds of thousands of users.
A spokesman for YouTube told Variety: 'Some people are encountering errors, or a slower than normal experience on YouTube today. We're working to fix the problem as soon as possible.'
Owned by Google since 2006, the site has over 800 million unique visitors a month.
