Instagram has it lovers and haters-but either way you can't deny that it's crazy successful. For those without a smartphone, though, Brazilian artist Bruno Ribeiro's art installation Real Life Instagram provides a taste of the retro-themed photography service on the streets of London.
Placing cardboard frames with translucent green, blue, yellow, orange and red plastic films provides a kind-of-almost approximation of Instagram out on the streets. Framing everything from graffiti and signposts to CCTV cameras and famous landmarks, he certainly gets the content bang on.
Perhaps the best part, though, is the fact that so many people stop to take pictures of the artworks, and presumably many of them then get posted on Instagram itself. So. Meta. [ Real Life Instagram via Web Urbanist]
