YouTube sensation Zoe Sugg, aka Zoella, has just published her debut novel, and it's a major hit!
The novel Girl Online sold 78,109 in the first week which is more than your favorite writer sold, no matter who your favorite writer is!
That's right, more than E.L James, Dan Brown, or even J.K. Rowling!
Records only go back to 1998, but that's still a ton of excellent writers she beat out!
If you aren't familiar with Zoella, her YouTube channel has over six million subscribers, so she's a major deal!
The British vlogger inked a two-book deal with Penguin Random House, and this is the first of her books, in which she incorporated elements of her own life. CEO Tom Weldon said it was actually his 13-year-old granddaughter who convinced him to sign Zoe.
As for Miz Suggs, she had a darling reaction to Girl Online's success, saying:
'It's such an amazing feeling. I'm so grateful to everyone who has bought a copy of Girl Online. I love that so many of my viewers are enjoying the book! This year has been so exciting and this for sure is the icing on the cake.'
We're thrilled for her and her success! Hopefully the sequel this summer is an even bigger hit!
