Percy Harvin trade: Seahawks and other NFL players react on Twitter

The Percy Harvin trade was a shock to almost everyone in the NFL. (USATSI)

If you were surprised to hear that Percy Harvin got traded to the Jets on Friday, you're not the only one. The trade also came as a surprise to several of Harvin's former teammates in Seattle, including Marshawn Lynch and Bruce Irvin.

First, let's hear from Seahawks rookie Garry Gilliam, who seemed to sum up what most people were thinking.

For reaction from Lynch and Irvin, you're going to have to click through to Twitter because both players used words that we can't put on the website. Lynch's tweet, which you can see here, has been retweeted over 15,000 times.

On the other hand, there's Irvin, who kept his tweet to two words.

Then there's the Jets, who seem kind of excited that Harvin's headed for New York.

Reaction wasn't limited to just Jets and Seahawks players either, a few other players also took to Twitter with reaction to the Harvin news.

Colts punter Pat McAfee is glad Harvin's in the AFC East.

I for one, am pretty excited that Percy Harvin did not get traded into the AFC South.. Dude's a nightmare

That might be Tate's way of agreeing with the hearsay that Harvin wasn't easy to get along with or it could just be Tate enjoying some nice hot tea in Michigan.
