Facebook comments: now with stickers

Ever wanted to add Pusheen to a comment on Facebook? Now you can.

Facebook is rolling out support to add stickers (a popular messaging feature) to comments on personal posts, as well as posts in groups and events. It does not appear that stickers can be posted on a page's post. This works on both desktop and mobile.

To do this, go to a post from a friend, a post in a group or a post in an event. Look for the smiley face to the right of the camera icon in the comment box, then decide which sticker best fits what you want to say. Just like in messages, you can't have text accompanying the sticker.

Facebook software engineer Bob Baldwin announced this in a post:

Stickers have been a delightful way to communicate in messages, and I'm happy to announce we're bringing them to comments across Facebook. Just tap the smiley face icon in the bottom-right of any comment field to pick a sticker to send. It'll be available to all posts from people, in groups, and on events now. I think stickers will allow people to reply to a variety of posts in a more fun way than words alone. You can now easily show your excitement for a post with good news, cheer up a friend who's feeling down, and express a variety of more nuanced reactions.
