Hello from San Francisco, where Twitter is holding its Flight conference for mobile developers. It kicks off with a keynote by Twitter CEO Dick Costolo at 10am PT. We'll be live blogging his talk.


What to expect? It's likely Costolo will unveil the expected Twitter Fabric, a new toolset that would help mobile developers have their apps interact with Twitter more easily, including perhaps carrying ads. Details of Fabric emerged last month in a report from The Information.


There may be other goodies designed to entice developers, some of whom have felt increasingly burned by Twitter after years of the service dropping support for certain types of apps.


The company's first developer conference, Chirp, was held in 2010. Twitter never held another, until now. In 2012, the company even formally defined ' quadrants ' of third-party products and services that it sought to discourage.
