PAYETTE -- It's been over a week since an inmate made a daring escape from the Payette County Jail. But Nick Grove is leading police on a new trail by posting from the Internet.
It seems that Grove has been paying attention to reports for his search, and he's telling his friends all about it from Facebook.
Grove is wanted for escaping from the jail, climbing through razor wire and over a fence in late August.
'We are trying to focus our efforts on finding him and apprehending him,' said Lt. Andy Creech.
With only few tips and no sign of him since, Grove recently appeared on what seems to be his Facebook page.
In fact, he posted a link to a music video Tuesday night.
Lt. Creech says they are watching the posts closely.
'We are aware that somebody has been posting on Facebook, whether that's him or not,' said Creech. 'We are monitoring that obviously, but we are using it for whatever leads we can use it for.'
Grove spoke candidly on Facebook just Sunday, sharing with his social media friends what his escape was like, saying he was scared and was running on broken glass and stepping on thorns.
'We are trying to make changes at our facility to try and make it more safe, it's a responsibility they take very seriously,' said Creech.
Grove climbed over the razor wire at the jail, cutting himself and then taking off through an alley. His white and green-striped inmate clothes were found ditched in a trash can.
'So we are looking at ways that we can make our recreation yard safer than what it is,' said Creech.

In the meantime, police are advising Grove to turn himself in, and it seems so are some of his friends talking with him on Facebook.
'I think the reality is, is that he is going to be located at some point, and it would be better for him to turn himself in, or for anyone that knows where he is at to contact law enforcement,' said Creech.
We spoke to a woman who knows Grove and has been is commenting on his Facebook posts. She didn't want to go on camera, but reiterated what she said online: Grove needed to handle his business so he can put this all behind him.
Payette County authorities say Grove could face up to 15 more years for escape.
