The Confused Face Meme Girl: Keisha Johnson Sues Instagram for $500 Million

Memes have become a rather popular method to make jokes and poke fun on social media. In the past, we have seen dozens of cases of regular pictures of people going viral after being converted into comical memes. One such case was the picture of the Confused Face Meme Girl, who is now suing Instagram for $500 million.

The teenager from Birmingham, Alabama, is extremely upset that her photo is being shared and mocked on a massive scale. She went on to reveal to Odgossip that one of her friends took a photo of her and uploaded it to Instagram. Shortly after that, the picture evolved into a meme and went viral, causing thousands of people to mock her odd pose in the picture.

Johnson reponded to the picture saying that she looks nothing like the girl in the picture. 'My face looked ugly like I was about to throw up. I look nothing like that in real life... Im really a bad b*tch,' said Johnson according to Odgossip.com.

Will she win this case? Probably not. In platforms like Instagram, users are responsible for the content that they share. And as long as Instagram has not directly promoted or spread the picture, there is nothing that Johnson and her family can hope to achieve in the courts, except for the embarrassment.

Some of the most popular confused face memes are now making rounds across social media. Let us know which ones are your favourites.
