Today's U.S. Supreme Court ruling for Hobby Lobby produced both praise and outrage on Twitter.
In a 5-4 decision, justices ruled that family-owned corporations could not be required to pay for insurance coverage for contraception under the Affordable Care Act, saying that such a requirement violated federal law protecting religious freedom.
Hobby Lobby, an arts and crafts chain owned by an evangelical Christian family, had objected to four types of emergency birth control.
As soon as the ruling was handed down, Twitter was flooded with responses from both sides, including one by Rev. Ronnie Floyd, the newly elected president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Here are a few:
As a strong supporter of religious freedom, I stand with @HobbyLobbyStore. #alpolitics http://ift.tt/1r84GmC

If you think the #HobbyLobby ruling is about religious freedom you're mistaken. It's about corporate power to overrule religious freedom.

I wonder if the employees of #hobbylobby are even aware of what's going on and the stakes, or if they're just desperate to remain employed.
