GOOGLE OWNED Youtube has announced a number of features for its online video services, including support for 60fps playback.
Youtube announced the changes on Thursday. It said that soon its video service will support 48fps and 60fps playback, which is good news for gamers uploading content from their PS4 or Xbox One games consoles. Users will have to make sure to select HD 1080p format to enjoy the higher framerate, Youtube notes.
The firm said in a blog post, 'Your video game footage with crazy high frame rates will soon look as awesome on Youtube as it does when you're playing, when we launch support for 48 and even 60 frames per second in the coming months.'

Youtube also announced on Thursday that its Creative Studio app is out now for Android, allowing video creators to view analytis and manage videos, and added that an iOS app is set to arrive 'in the coming weeks'. Video creators will also be pleased to hear that Youtube is adding fan funding, which allows them to link fundraising services like Indiegogo and Kickstarter to their Youtube uploads.
Beyond that, Youtube also launched a royalty-free music library that offers video creators over 7,500 free tracks to use, playlist analytics, fan-contributed subtitle support for better translation and Creator Credits - allowing video makers to add a links to collaborators' Youtube channels.
Youtube said that it will roll out these changes over the next few months. ยต
