It's time for a brand new iteration of our Tubefilter Charts. Welcome to the first of our new monthly installment of the Top 100 Most Viewed YouTube Gaming Channels in the World.

Regular viewers of our weekly and monthly rankings of the top viewed and most subscribed YouTube channels in the U.S. and worldwide are already well aware of the popularity of online video gamers. Names like PewDiePie, SkyDoesMinecraft, StampyLongHead, and more consistently rank among the most popular and fastest growing channels on YouTube. Given the incredible growth and worldwide popularity of these YouTube phenomena and the Let's Play, Walkthrough, and other kinds of endemic video-game oriented programming they create, we thought it was time to give the genre an exclusive look.

Chart Toppers

The Top 100 Most Viewed YouTube Gaming Channels in the World is - like our other charts - exactly what it sounds like. A countdown of the most viewed YouTube channels that predominantly produce, create, and distribute video game content. And while there's likely little surprise as to what channels dominate the top of the list (though the numbers those channels generate are always impressive), a look down the field reveals a number of creators you may not readily recognize from disparate backgrounds and a variety of burgeoning and boutique multi-channel networks.

We hope you find our new YouTube Gaming Channel Charts as useful, insightful, and as intriguing as we do. And a very special thanks to our friends at Tiltify for helping to put these together. Stay tuned for for more genre-specific lists in the very near future.

Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg's PewDiePie channel is obviously at the top of the inaugural Top 100 YouTube Gaming Channel Charts. The 24-year-old Swedish online video gamer scored an unbelievable 311.2 million views in the month of May. That's a month-over-month increase of 5% and roughly equates to more than 120 views per second during the 31 days of the month.

Top Gainers

Stampylonghead comes up next in the #2 spot. The UK-based Minecraft-er with a penchant for education amassed over 165 million views in May. The Diamond Minecart is up next in third place. The channel dedicated to 'a ton of Mod Reviews and all things Minecraft' scored nearly 116 million views during the month. Up next in the #4 position is Vegetta777. The Spanish gamer whose self-description loosely translates to 'boy lover of unicorns, who lives with the murderer elf in your room' scored nearly 115 million views in the 31 days of May.

And rounding out the Top 5 is VanossGaming. The Canadian who produces a prolific amount of funny gaming videos ended the month with more than 97.2 million views.

Channel Distribution

The honor of our Top Gainer this month goes to Call of Duty.

Kevin Spacey's popularity as a morally corrupt political mastermind has transitioned from Netflix over into gaming in the most recent high-profile marketing campaign for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The actor's likeness and voice is featured prominently in popular video game franchise's next big release and helped push the Advanced Warfare Reveal Trailer video up to an eight-figure view count. The video featuring Spacey alone accounted for more than half of Call of Duty's nearly 28.5 million YouTube views in May, a 379% increase over the month prior.

The Top 100 Most Viewed YouTube Gaming Channels this month amassed in aggregate a total of 3,477,066,088 views. Here's a look at the distribution of those channels broken down by the most-represented YouTube Multi-Channel Networks on the chart:
