The New Orleans Saints designated Jimmy Graham as their franchise player for 2014. The team insists Graham is a tight end, which would pay him $7 million under the franchise tag. Graham says he's a wide receiver, a designation that brings a $12.3 million salary. The two sides are in arbitration to decide the matter and some of the evidence is quite compelling, like the NFLPA saying Graham lines up at receiver 67% of the time. And then there's this, from the NFL:
Among @NFL 's arguments: Jimmy Graham meets in the TE room, lines up where TEs line up... and lists himself as a TE on Twitter (really).

It's true. Graham calls himself a tight end on his Twitter bio.
His official website says the same.
This is the sort of information with which pithy attorneys and wise-cracking judges on Law and Order would have a field day.
I don't know what to think. Graham lines up as a receiver 67% of the time and that sounds far more convincing than parsing social media semantics. However, the 'how can Jimmy Graham be a wide receiver if he calls himself a tight end' question is tough to contradict too.
Either way, the decision is expected in the coming days. In the meantime, I'm going to change my Twitter bio to 'international billionaire/playboy/scratch golfer' to see if that does anything for my status.
