Walking Dead Finale, Kids' Choice Awards Rule Twitter

The Walking Dead's highly anticipated (to say the least) season finale couldn't top Nickelodeon's 27 th Annual Kids' Choice Awards last week - at least as far as Twitter is concerned. The shows appeal to vastly different demographics, and the Kids' Choice Awards topped the Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings Weekly Top Ten Series and Specials list with 2.1 million event-related Tweets that were seen by a Unique Audience of 6.8 million people.

AMC's hit series saw just over a million event-related Tweets, seen by a Unique Audience of 6.5 million people. Zombies are popular, but evidently not as popular as Disney stars, The Hunger Games (even though Jennifer Lawrence wasn't at the show to get her Favorite Movie Actress award), Mark Wahlberg (who hosted), and that iconic green slime. The Walking Dead finale did see an impressive 15.7 million viewers though.

In sports, the Kentucky vs. Michigan NCAA Basketball Tournament game topped the list with 877,000 event-related Tweets seen by a Unique Audience of 7.8 million people.
