It's a sad day for Shatner fans.

William Shatner abruptly deleted his Twitter account March 12, signing off with a short farewell:

Shatner certainly isn't the first celebrity to deactivate his account. Amanda Bynes, Adele and John Mayer are just a few celebs who have bid Twitter farewell in the past. Only time will tell if Shatner's kicked the habit for good.
