If it wasn't the biggest upset of bowl season in terms of the point spread -- that honor belongs to UCF's takedown of Baylor -- but most college football fans would call Oklahoma's Sugar Bowl victory over Alabama the biggest surprise of bowl season nonetheless.
So it wasn't a surprise the game triggered a huge amount of chatter on Twitter, even from feeds that might not usually comment on a college football game. Like, for instance, the Oklahoma Red Cross, who sent out this tweet -- since deleted, but saved by al.com -- razzing the Tide over the loss:

Though that tweet seems mostly harmless (if oddly sourced,) the Red Cross apologized several times over:
We sincerely ask for forgiveness and did not mean to offend any by our football-related tweets.

All in good fun tonight. Great game to both teams. Yes, we do love our friends in Alabama. #OUvsBAMA #SugarBowl

All football jokes aside, we stand with Alabama to be there in the face of disaster and provide relief to those who are in need.

Please be safe tonight following the game. Again, we are proud of our Oklahoma teams and have great respect for our friends in Alabama.

Not deleted, not apologized for, here's Texas quarterback Case McCoy's brief summation of the deciding play, when Eric Striker stripped AJ McCarron for the icing fumble-recovery touchdown:

As the 3,300 retweets would suggest, that about covered it.
