Monica Spear: Her Sad Final Tweet While Vacationing With Her Family

Monica and her husband were vacationing in her native Venezuela before they were brutally murdered near the town of Puerto Cabello. In the days leading up to her tragic death, she posted several photos and this final Instagram video that is so beautiful yet incredibly sad.

Monica Spear, 29, was enjoying a gorgeous family vacation with her husband Thomas Henry Berry, 49, right before they were killed in front of their five-year-old daughter. The former 2004 Miss Venezuela, was posting incredibly amazing photos and videos from her trip and it's so sad that her life was cut short in such a horrible way.

Monica and her husband were enjoying time over the holidays enjoying nature. In one post on Instagram, she posted a video of herself looking out at 'La magia de los llanos,' which translates to 'the magic of the plains.'

This couldn't be more sad and we are devastated for her daughter who survived a gunshot wound in the leg.

They were headed to the city of Valencia in a grey 2002 Corolla Toyota when they got into a car accident. Then when they puled over two unindentified men attacked them and shot them.

Venezuela has one of the highest murder rates in the world, in 2013 there were 24,000 homicides in the nation.
