It's a quiet, snowy start for 2014 in Chicago.

As a winter storm continues to dump snow across the area, Chicagoans took to Instagram to show off the city under its winter blanket. From shoveling to inching along unplowed roads to hoping for the best at the airport to simply enjoying the day, here's a look at how the city brought in the new year.
