It is always a bit of a daunting prospect to be contacted by people you have no clue about. In the day and age where Social Media is flourishing, and everyone willing to reap the benefits of the same by maintaining their presence on it, approaching people has become incredibly easy. One place where we really expect privacy is within the realms of out E-mail Inbox.
However, it has recently come to notice that anyone with a profile on Google+ can E-mail you given you have an active profile too. Even if the person is not included in your circle, he can just drop you a message directly to your E-Mail inbox. It is easy to back out of this arrangement though. Here is what you simply need to do:
Step 1: Open your Gmail Inbox and click on the Gear icon on the right most side and go into Settings.
Step 2: When inside settings, under General Settings, look for the option of 'Email via Google+'.
Step 3: Click on the drop down and select the option of 'No one'
There it is, it is indeed that simple to walk out of this potential invasion of privacy trap setup by Google+. Although, we can see why this feature could be useful, it is well recommended to keep it off unless you want your mailbox to be bombarded with E-Mails from people you have no clue about.
