California teacher that abused student exposed on YouTube

Jamie Carrillo recorded confrontation she had with her former teacher Andrea Cardosa. Carrillo claims that Cardosa sexually abused her for years.

A California woman - sexually abused for years by her basketball coach - confronted her attacker in a damning YouTube video that quickly led to her resignation.

Jamie Carrillo, 28, has come forward to expose an alleged relationship educator Andrea Cardosa that started when the girl was the tender age of 12 and stretched on for her entire teenage years, according to reports.

Carrillo recorded her phone confrontation with Cardosa - who had since risen to the ranks of assistant principal at Alhambra High School - in a viral video that was sent to school officials.

'Everything was stolen from me,' Carrillo, now a mother of two, told KTLA5 as she choked back tears. 'I want her to be in jail and to pay for what she's done.'

Cardosa resigned from her post on Friday - the same day the video was posted - and has gone into relative hiding since she was exposed online. Carrillo's lawyers are exploring the possibility of a criminal or civil suit.

'The matter was handed over to the Alhambra Police Department who immediately began their investigation,' the school said in a statement.

Cardosa was reportedly allowed to quietly resign from her previous position at the middle school and continue her career, her lawyer said.

'That's typically called passing the trash. If that is in fact true, everyone would agree that's absolutely outrageous conduct,' her lawyer David Ring said during a news conference on Monday.

The alleged abuse began while Cardosa was working at Chemawa Middle School in Riverside. The girl was an impressionable 12-year-old when Cardosa began ensaring Carrillo in a web of self-pity, she told KLTA.

Cardosa cornered Carrillo one day at school - her advances grew from kissing to x-rated groping, the girl said.

'She was kissing me, and then it turned into putting her hands down my pants,' she told KTLA. 'She just completely manipulated me into thinking that I needed her and I wanted it.'

The two carried on the torrid tyrst until Carrillo was 20, she said. Cardosa could barely muster a full sentence as Carrillo repeatedly slammed her abuser for the entire world to see.

'You should be so ashamed and disgusted with yourself,' Carrillo yelled into the phone.

The educator could only eek out an 'I am' on the other line.

'How f---- dare you,' the distraught woman said, shaking as she held the phone.

'I regret it every day,' Cardosa said glumly.

The YouTube video has collected more than 289,000 views as of Tuesday morning. Many of the commenters commended Carrillo for her bravery. Formal charges have yet to be brought against Cardosa.

Carrillo, who admits to still being emotionally damaged by the relationship, said Monday that she was shocked that Cardosa never apologized during the heated confrontation.

'It took a lot for me to come forward, but I kept thinking about my own kids and how I didn't wouldn't want anything happening to them,' Carrillo said.
